Eugenia Smith brings over 13 years of experience in senior care to her role as the executive director at Loma Clara. Specializing in dementia support, Eugenia is a certified dementia practitioner known for her solution-oriented approach to residents’ well-being. Her journey into health care was shaped by personal experiences with dementia in her family, driving her to transition to the health care sector.
Starting as a certified nursing assistant and progressing to roles as certified dietary manager, resident care coordinator and executive director in nursing homes and memory care communities, Eugenia’s expertise lies in creating supportive environments tailored to individuals with dementia. With a deep sense of purpose and humility, Eugenia feels privileged to serve at Loma Clara, where she continues to fulfill her calling of making a positive impact in the lives of seniors and their families.
Beyond her professional pursuits, Eugenia enjoys playing Scrabble and chess, traveling, reading, watching movies (especially classics), listening to classical music, and watching opera shows.
